Despite spending New Year’s in Australia last year, the party princess will not be returning to Sydney a second time.

Sources say the socialite’s failure to secure a local commitment was behind her withdrawal and hinted that Hilton’s celebrity seems to be waning.

Years of over-exposure and ventures into anything and everything – reality TV, books, bags, perfume, hamburger commercials – have left the 28-year-old ‘hyped out’, to the point she’s resorted to B-grade television roles.

However, a Sydney spokeswoman for Hilton denies this, saying there’s still ‘plenty’ of interest in the heiress, but she set her sights on some other location elsewhere in the world.
